While most beauty gurus spend more time focusing on their eyeshadow, I tend to spend more time on my lips and it’s easier to change up throughout the day to suit my moods. So I thought, why not do quick tutorials focusing on lovely lip looks that look good with any type of eye makeup. And I kinda like it – it’s a great way to satisfy the lip gloss junkie in all of us, so enjoy!

Fellow Amy Winehouse fans, I give you my tribute to one of the most amazing singers the world has ever known. I purposely held off on posting this because I wanted to take my time with it, rather than throwing up a sloppily done tutorial just to capitalize on the fact people would be searching for her on YouTube in the days following her death. The look I chose is from one of her earlier music videos when her look was a little more subtle. I did this for two reasons: 1. I figured everyone and their dog would be doing a traditional Amy look and B. I knew this one would be easier for you all to recreate on your own. This is one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done, so I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do ♡

For those who voted for the Amy Winehouse look you most wanted to see me recreate, the winning look was from her video for Stronger Than Me!!! I gotta be honest, this one is my favorite as well so I’m really glad it won – even if it was only by 3 votes. I filmed the tutorial yesterday and should be done editing within the next few days or so. In the meantime here are a few pics of my handy work:

I love how simple the eye makeup is to do, and because Amy’s signature winged liner was much more subtle in the video, it’s a look you can wear to work or school.

The thing I was most in love with was the semi-sheer, glossy neutral lip and I think I got fairly close to matching her color considering I still have no idea what it is.

And now back to editing!!!

I’ve been thinking about doing an Amy Winehouse inspired tutorial since she passed a few weeks ago and decided these are my two favorite looks. I’m torn because I love them both so much, so I figured I would let you all decide which one you like the best. You can vote in the comments section below, or on my Twitter or Facebook page. This is option #1. I chose this one because I think she looks completely gorgeous in this video. Her eyes are vibrant and the makeup simple yet sultry.

Of the two, I think this is my favorite because the lips are so sexy and sheer. I like this one because it would be very easy for you all to recreate using products you probably already have in your collection.

Since I posted the Britney Spears review video a few weeks ago I’ve gotten tons of message about the makeup I was wearing, so I went ahead and did a tutorial so you guys can see how I put this look together. it’s pretty easy to do, and perfect for warm summer nights when you wanna turn up your look a little without being overly dramatic.
