DIY: Glam Up a Plain T-shirt!

The other day I got a few t-shirts at Target and came up with this cheap and easy way to glam them up and make them a little more Jackie-like. And by Jackie-like I mean blinged out. Cuz really, what’s the point in even getting dressed if there’s no bling involved?

To create this look you will need:

1. Any fitted or semi-fitted t-shirt of your choice
2. Scissors
3. Two sparkly hairclips of your choice (they must be clips, as in they must actually close. Pins won’t work for this)

Step 1: Make a small cut down the the center of the back of the shirt, starting at the collar.
Step 2: Quickly and carefully rip the shirt starting at the incision. Keep in mind the more you rip, the lower the neckline will be. And make sure you rip the fabric carefully so the back will look like a nice and neat deep V shape.
Step 3: Put on the shirt to ensure you are satisfied with the neckline. If not, repeat the ripping process until you’re happy.
Step 4: With the shirt on, gather the fabric at the base of the sleeve and clip it in place with one of the hair clips. Repeat on the other side.

And viola, all done! Now you can enjoy your super cute, custom blinged out tee!

My 11 Most Reached for Beauty Products

I haven’t done one of these in a good long while, so when my girl kikilovesmakeup6 tagged me on YouTube I decided to go ahead and do the tag. Check out my video below, then check out her channel, blog and Twitter – ya, I just love her!

Review – CoverFX Skin Care

A few months ago I had the pleasure of attending a Tweet-up hosted by CoverFX Skin Care and my good friends at Beautylish.com. At the event I met Melissa, a rep for this fabulous company who told me all about these amazing products and offered to send me some to try out. And let’s just say it was love at first application – because these products are just fabulous! Check out my complete review below, then visit the CoverFX website to get some of your own.

Check out CoverFX and follow them on Twitter. Don’t forget to stop by Beautylish.com while you’re at it – you’ll be glad you did!

Hair Long, Black and Curly Like a Cuban!

And yes I realize it’s not curly in the photos so quit messaging me about it! I straightened it so my fabulously talented mom could make sure there weren’t any spots of that stubborn red dye left.

black1 black2Don’t get me wrong, I loved the red, but let me warn you guys, it’s a serious commitment. Red fades faster than any other color, which leads to lots of re-touching, which can lead to lots of damage. In my case, my hair was so dry from all the constant touch ups it was hard to even cut. To me the damage isn’t worth it, so I decided to go with somthing really dark that I could just leave alone for a few months while my hair repairs itself.

A few of you on my Twitter and Facebook have asked about the process and which dye I used, so I’ll post a video tomorrow explaining the whole process to those of you who are considering a similar look, so stay tuned!!!
